  7. As  application  programs  become  larger  and  more complex,
  8. conflicts between programs become  more and more common. Some
  9. programs  simply require  a larger  amount of  memory than is
  10. normally  available. The  simple  solution  is to  reboot the
  11. computer  with a  different (non  conflicting, or  low memory
  12. use) configuration.

  14. The  REBOOT suite  of programs  have been  written to perform
  15. this task, and  to preserve the users environment  as much as
  16. possible across these reboots,  and with special handling for
  17. 4DOS.

  19. REBOOT  can reboot  the computer  with a  new CONFIG.SYS  and
  20. AUTOEXEC.BAT selected from a list  of choices (from a maximum
  21. of  128 configurations).  Delayed write  (also called  staged
  22. write) disk caches are catered for. For users of 4DOS 3.0 and
  23. above,  the command  history list  can be  written to  a file
  24. before booting  (if you don't use  4DOS currently, you should
  25. try it). The various configurations are kept in a single file
  26. (REBOOT.CFG).

  28. Hardware  Requirements :  IBM PC,  PC/XT, AT,  386 or 486, or
  29. close compatible  computer with at  least 128K RAM  (512K for
  30. editing option), single floppy drive, mono or colour display.
